Traditional Thai Massage or Nuad Phaen Boran, also known as Thai yoga massage, is an ancient healing therapy that can be traced to Thailand more than 2,500 years ago.
Thai Massage strives to remove obstacles on the path toward Promiiwihansii or The Four Divine States of Mind: Loving Kindness, Vicarious Joy, Compassion, and Equanimity. Facilitating a harmonious state of being.
The massage is practiced on a firm mat on the floor and the receiver wears light, loose-fitting clothing. It incorporates elements of mindfulness, deep stretching, gentle rocking, and rhythmic acupressure to create a deeply soothing yet energizing healing experience. The session last from one hour to three hours or more. The treatment style is slow, gentle, deliberate, non-invasive and suitable for even the most fragile person.
It is a great privilege to touch a person and become a “conduit” for sacred healing energy, and I am honored to be able to offer this Yoga-based healing to you.
